One of PX Mart's primary objectives for this year's Hungry Ghost Festival is to reach out to more young people by communicating the knowledge and values behind the tradition using the language they are most fluent in, which is the internet. In 2022, one of the most significant buzzwords was the Metaverse, and we realized that there was no better way to discuss the world of spirits than to jump on that bandwagon as well. By creating a cyber universe where the spirits exist, people can explore the ghost festival rituals from the spirits' perspectives. This not only humanizes the spirits and alleviates people's fear of them but also helps young people understand the purpose behind each practice. The website showcases all six TVC films launched during the campaign and also links directly to PX Mart's e-commerce site, making PX Ghostverse a one-stop-shop for purchases, education, and entertainment.
